International with China Focus
Our international team of professors will provide you with a wide perspective, consolidating knowledge and experience from all over the world. In addition, the MScEBKM programme benefits from its association with a unique e-business research centre in Hong Kong, the Asia Centre for Electronic Business, ACEbiz (http://acebiz.cityu.edu.hk). ACEbiz is jointly created by City University of Hong Kong and Peking University (Beijing). It aims at advancing knowledge in electronic business and enhancing the applicability of this knowledge to Asia in general and China/Hong Kong in particular. Through ACEbiz, you will have access to the latest developments in e-business in Hong Kong and China. In addition, the MScEBKM programme will offer as an elective course a residential trip to China, where you will acquire hands-on knowledge about e-business applications in the mainland and interact with similar participants at Peking University.
Effective and Enjoyable Learning Environment
At CityU, we "practise what we preach". You will learn about e-business through the use of an advanced set of information technology tools. You will be able to access learning materials from a personalised portal. Missed a class? No problem. Lecture notes can be available online. Never miss an important academic event with your personalised online academic calender. Your learning experience, however, will not be simply "hi-tech". You will also find yourself in a highly interactive class environment, where local cases enrich the understanding of e-business issues in the regional environment. Furthermore, to enhance your interaction with the local business community, you will have access to the various activities and online resources of an exclusive social club of over 1,300 business professionals, Club eBiz (http://www.club-ebiz.com). The club organises regular conferences where prestigious practitioners share their experiences with you.
In addition of being rich and effective, the MScEBKM learning environment is also enjoyable. The classroom ambience is friendly and collaborative. Social activities, e.g., cocktail and dinner receptions, are organised regularly to facilitate networking and to foster stronger relationships among the participants, the instructors and the alumni.
